Celebrated the 10th Annual People and Organizations Conference at Wharton School

Last October 13-14, the 10th Annual People and Organizations Conference was held at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA). The conference was organized by the Center for Human Resources of the mentioned University managed by Professor Peter Cappelli.

The annual People & Organizations academic conference was initiated by the Center in 2007 to bring attention to research on work and employment and to build and support the community of scholars who share common interests and seek a forum for interdisciplinary exchange. The 10th annual People & Organizations conference has included sessions for specialized topics or work in progress. Papers have covered a broad range of topics, including new developments in work and employment relationships, new insights on inequality in the workplace, explorations of the structure and determinants of careers in and across modern workplaces, etc.

In the conference, a session entitled “External Mobility and Talent Acquisition” was held. In this session, Cristina Quintana, director of the Santander Center for Corporate Social Responsibility of the University of Malaga , with her colleagues Marta M. Elvira (IESE) and Isabel Villamor (George Washington University) presented their work about career and gender inequality in executive compensation.
