Cristina Quintana García

Director

She is a Professor of Management at the University of Malaga (Spain). She is director of the Andalusian Research and Technological Development Group ‘Technological Innovation, Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility’ (SEJ-414). She has been Visiting Scholar at Harvard University in 2001, at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, at Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009, at London Business School in 2016 and at the School of Business of the Stanford University in 2018. She has been Director of Quality and Strategic Development at the University of Málaga in the period 2008-2011. She develops many studies regarding technological innovation, social responsibility and gender diversity and inequality in the labor market. The results from her research have been published in international journals and conference proceedings.

Macarena Marchante Lara

Research fellow and Academic Collaborator of the Center

She is Industrial Engineer and holds a Master in Occupational Health and Safety and a Ph.D. from the University of Malaga. She is a trainee researcher in the Department of Economy and Business Administration at the University of Malaga (Spain). She is a member of the Andalusian Research and Technological Development Group ‘Technological Innovation and Quality’ (SEJ-414). Her research focuses on service sector, mainly in transport quality, topic that she has developed in her doctoral dissertation.

Carlos G. Benavides Chicón

Research fellow

He hols a PhD and is a graduated in Administration and Business Management and in Economics from the University of Malaga. He is trainee researcher in the Department of Applied Economics (Economic Structure) in the Faculty of Economics and Business Science at the University of Malaga (Spain). He is a member of the Andalusian Research and Technological Development Group ‘Labor demand and supply’ (SEJ-139). His research focuses on tourism sector, especially on quality and productivity in the tourism sector, the topic of his dissertation.

Raúl García Cortés

Collaborator of the Center

He is a graduated in Business Studies by the Faculty of Commerce and Management from Malaga University. Associated to the Management Area, presently, he is a grant-holder of the Office of Quality Service, Strategic Planning and Corporative Social Responsibility of Malaga University. He is also collaborator at the Professorship of Occupational Safety and Health at the mentioned University. He has worked as a technical collaborator at the management of the II Conference of the Andalusian Public Health and Preventive Health Care.

Yolanda Gil Ojeda

Research fellow

She is a Ph.D. and a graduated in en Pedagogy and Teaching (Primary) of the University of Malaga. She serves as Administrative in the office of Quality and Strategic Planning of the mentioned University. She has been associate Professor of the Multidisciplinary Teaching Promgra of the Fundación IAVANTE. She has been invited speakers in several Conferences and Seminars on quality management in universities, and she has published several articles and book chapters focused on Institutional Evaluation in universities, quality management, EFQM Model and quality guarantee systems in University Centers.

Laura Guitar Tarrés

Research fellow

She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a Ph.D. in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB). She has been a teacher in the Department of Economics and Business Organization at the UB since 1994. She is a member of GITASP (Research Group in Technological Innovation of Productions Systems) recognized by the Government of Catalonia. She is also the author of several papers published in national and international indexed academic journals. Her present research interest is the study of the behaviour of foreign multinational branches established in Spain. In this regard, she has participated in the PROFIT project organized under the auspices of the National Program for Social, Economic and Legal Sciences (Ministry of Science and Technology): Multinational Branches in Spain: R+D and Competitiveness. Also in this research line, she has participated in two projects about the attraction and retention factors in foreign multinational R&D centres in Spain, both financed by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and in collaboration with Fundación I+E (Foundation for Innovation in Spain). She is now coordinator of Master of Research in Business at the University of Barcelona.

Daniel A. Lerner

Research fellow

He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Colorado – Boulder. His research involves the psychological, social, and contextual factors influencing entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic behavior. His research has been presented at leading conferences including the Academy of Management (AOM), Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC), Strategic Management Society (SMS), and smaller international venues. He has also instructed entrepreneurship courses for undergraduates, and corporate innovation sessions for MBA and Executive-MBA courses. Before pursuing a PhD – Dan received an honors undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, worked for an engineering/business consulting firm, and worked on renewable energy and other entrepreneurial start-ups.

Paloma Miravitlles Matamoros

Research fellow

She is a Ph.D. in Economics with honors from Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain) and Associate Professor of Applied Economy. Nowadays she is a Quality and Innovation Vicedean at the Faculty of Social Science and Law (Rey Juan Carlos University). She is M.A. of Public Finance: Expenditures and Mathematical Programming (Institute of Fiscal Studies, Spanish Ministry of Finance) and M.A. of Economic Analysis and Financial Economics (Complutense Institute of Economic Analysis). She has participated in several research national project funded by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has worked as an external consultant on projects and contracts for economic, social and environmental analysis, with a focus on gender perspective. The results from her research have been published in conference proceedings, chapters and books.

Rosa Santero Sánchez

Research fellow

She holds an undergraduate degree and a Ph.D. degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona. She has been a teacher at the Department of Economics and Business Organization at the UB since 1994, and a teacher consultant at the Open University of Barcelona since 2001. Her present research interest is the international strategy of multinational industrial companies. She has participated in several research projects and published different studies and several papers on the analysis of Spanish industry and the presence of foreign multinationals. Indeed her main line of research is based in studying the evolution of strategic roles of foreign subsidiaries located in Spain.

Eva Vallejo García

Research fellow

She is is a Ph.D. and a graduated in Economics of the University of Malaga. She serves as Administrative in the office of Quality and Strategic Planning of the mentioned University. She has been invited speakers in several Conferences and has published many articles and book chapters. Her research focuses on quality management in universities and quality guarantee systems in University Centers, topic that she has developed in her doctoral dissertation.
